Fundraisers benefit veteran organizations

Fayetteville Observer - 11/15/2018

Nov. 15--Local businesses are partnering to raise funds next week for local veteran-centered organizations.

The fundraisers will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at two different locations, and feature former World Wrestling Entertainment Superstar Ken Shamrock.

The events are spearheaded by Southern Customs Tattoo Company and The Rock Guns & Accessories, organizer Adrian Crain said.

The event Sunday will be at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 670, 3928 Doc Bennett Road.

The first 100 tickets allow for a VIP meet and greet social with Shamrock, stand up comedy performances, dinner provided by Mission Barbecue and a chance to be entered into a raffle.

Proceeds raised will benefit the VFW Post 670 and the Lone Survivor Foundation.

The Monday event will be held at Buffalo Wild Wings, 2097 Skibo Road. Shamrock also will be at Buffalo Wild Wings along with live music, comedy and Pictionary.

Crain said those funds will go toward Veterans Empowering Veterans, parking lot dedications for veterans and first responders and The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County grant programs.

"Each guest who attends either event is vital to the success," Crain said. "We are all in this together with one goal -- raise as much money as we can for five different organizations over two days."

Advanced tickets for Sunday are $60 and can be purchased by going to https://www.facebook.com/events/742741109397303
